foam pad + sleeve version: this version of the pack has a removable 1/8” foam pad + sleeve option. we leave the pad in for everyday use, day hiking, or traveling. while backpacking or thru hiking it is nice to remove the pad and stuff a folded inflatable sleeping pad into the pouch, which makes the inside of the pack feel more organized and adds some rigidity when compared to the pad just floating there. there is also a uhmwpe grid mesh pocket on the sleeve for laptop or bladder use, w/ a couple pockets within the mesh for keys and small things. up top is a toggle w/ a cutout so you can hang a bladder inside or outside the pad sleeve
